POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Naval Architect with a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering with at least 18 months of experience in vessel design development, structural design, and auxiliary systems design. The candidate will perform vessel design development, structural design, and auxiliary systems design for various marine crafts such as patrol vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
- Minimum of 18 months of experience in vessel design development, structural design, and auxiliary systems design
- Familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO, and other applicable regulations
- Experience with AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, and Rhino software is preferred
SKILLS
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with FEA, GHS, and Rhino software
- Strong understanding of marine industry regulations and standards
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop designs for vessels, including structural and auxiliary systems
- Ensure designs meet all relevant standards and regulations
- Use software tools such as AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, and Rhino to create and analyze designs
- Lead and manage design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
