POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking dedicated Project Subcontract Managers with at least 8 years in shipbuilding/manufacturing or five years in both shipbuilding and marine outfitting, propulsion, and auxiliaries. The candidate will monitor and ensure subcontractors meet performance, schedules, and deliverables in accordance with specified objectives and contractual obligations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 8 years in shipbuilding/manufacturing or five years in both shipbuilding and marine outfitting, propulsion, and auxiliaries
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine)
- Experienced in resource planning and scheduling
SKILLS
- Intermediate understanding of USCG and regulatory requirements, and craft-specific processes
- Able to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and integrate subcontract efforts into construction plans
- Develop and maintain construction plans, schedules, and budgets
- Conduct labor estimates and maintain manpower schedules.
- Coordinate subcontract activities with ship management to meet quality standards
- Coordinate subcontract efforts as it relates to the production function which includes schedule coordination, subcontract progressing, change order management and all associated integration within core construction, administration, and management
- Coordinate and schedule all aspects of assigned projects among the various disciplines such as engineering, procurement, production, supply chain, etc.
- Develop mitigation solutions to ensure total construction effort is maintained according to plan
